The member agencies of Metro 4 and SESARM are responsible for assessing the existence and impact of emissions of hazardous/toxic air pollutants and managing risks that are determined to exist. Agencies invest considerable time and effort to collecting ambient air quality information through monitoring programs and assessing that data. Conducting risk assessments and other evaluations and working with emissions sources to control problematic emissions are key activities necessary to ensure the health of our citizens.
