| Agenda Summary: |
This course will cover various permit types including Title V, PSD, and nonattainment permits as well as state and local construction and operating permits for minor sources. Also covered will be PSD applicability and netting determinations, top-down BACT, potential to emit, averaging times, emission limits, monitoring, reporting, recordkeeping, specific conditions, enforcement, and the importance of modeling, and emission inventories. The course has a number of exercises providing hands-on training in the review of applications and preparation of comprehensive permits.

| Target Audience: |
This course is intended primarily for Mississippi DEQ permitting personnel. If all seats are not taken, it will be opened up to other southeastern local and state air pollution control agencies. Students should have some experience in permit activities. In addition to permit engineers, the course may be useful to inspectors, enforcement specialists, regulation writers, and planners who must interpret permit conditions, perform inspections, and resolve violations. |

The training facility is in downtown Jackson about 10 miles from the Jackson Airport. Taxi fare from JAN to downtown is $30+. |
