Agenda Summary: This course provides a comprehensive introduction to air pollution regulation and control for entry-level compliance inspectors and other enforcement staff. Attendees will gain a working knowledge of the historical, technical, regulatory, and enforcement aspects of air pollution control. A pre-test and post-test will be administered during the course. A score of 70% or higher on the post-test will be required for issuance of a course certificate.

Target Audience: Newer inspection, compliance, and enforcement personnel. Other new agency staff including permit writers will also benefit from the general history of the Clean Air Act and overviews of various air pollution control program components. This course is available only to local, state, tribal, and federal regulatory agency personnel.
