This one-day course will cover the history of hot mix asphalt facilities, batch and drum mix processes, sources and control of pollutants, legal requirements, inspection procedures, and safety. Following the classroom instruction, there will be a field visit to an asphalt facility where general asphalt production operations will be discussed.

The course is offered solely to regulatory agency stationary source inspectors, permit writers, and other staff who are in need of a working knowledge of continuous emission monitoring systems and applications. |

Completion of this course requires taking a pre-test and post-test. A score of 70% or better on the post-test is required to earn a course certificate.
