Agenda Summary: This one-day course will cover plastic resin theory and uses, production operations, emissions, control techniques, associated air toxics, emission calculations, regulations, control devices, permitting, inspection procedures, and safety. There will be a field visit for a portion of the afternoon followed by a post-test.

Target Audience: This course is intended for stationary source inspectors, permit writers, and other regulatory staff who are in need of industry-specific training and is available only to air pollution control agency personnel. Unfilled course seats will be offered to agencies outside the Southeast.

Ground Transportation: Ground transportation is available, although the hotel is only about ½ mile from the Main Conference Room.
Registration Procedures:

Separate registration is required for each one-day course in this four day series by clicking the button at the top or bottom of this page. If you do not have an account on the web site, you must create one first. After successfully completing your registration, the system will generate a message to you confirming completion of the process. Please be aware that final confirmation guaranteeing your seat in the course will be provided approximately 30 days before the course date after reviewing total demand from the southeastern agencies. Nonrefundable travel arrangements are not recommended until this confirmation is provided.

Registration Fee: There is no registration fee unless you are a U.S. EPA employee. Interested EPA staff should contact Doug Carson for details.
Deadline: Hotel reservations and registration on this web site should be completed by Tuesday, July 27, 2010.
Miscellaneous Notes: Please arrive promptly for the beginning of this course.
Students must bring a hard hat, eye and ear protection, and safety shoes for the field visit. A light breakfast snack, break refreshments, and an afternoon snack will be provided each day. Lunch will be on your own.
