Agenda Summary: This one day course provides information on the use of electrostatic precipitators for fine particle and aerosol emissions control, theory, design, cleaning cycles, operation and maintenance, inspection techniques, likely operational deficiencies, and operator oversights. The course includes a pre-test and post-test as well as a field visit to a local facility. Each student should bring appropriate safety equipment (hardhat, safety glasses and shoes, and ear protection).
Target Audience: Permit engineers, compliance and enforcement personnel, and other southeastern local and state air pollution control agency staff who are responsible for developing, interpreting, and enforcing permit conditions at facilities that use ESPs for control of emissions. Any unused seats in the course will be offered to regulatory agency staff outside the Southeast. This course is not open to permittees or others in the private sector.

Ground Transportation: Ground transportation is available, although the hotel is only about ½ mile from the Main Conference Room.
