Introduction

The member agencies of Metro 4 and SESARM and their associated government agencies have initiated a variety of climate change activities and programs at the local and state level. Inventories of greenhouse gas emissions are being developed and updated in many jurisdictions. Agencies are collaborating on the local, state, regional, and national level. In addition to implementing local and state mandates, the agencies are watching closely federal legislation on climate change.
