The member agencies of Metro 4 and SESARM operate permitting programs to control emissions of air pollutants. Permits are issued to new and existing sources under the federal new source review (construction) and Title V (operating) permit programs. Construction and operating permits are also issued to minor sources where local and/or state regulations require such permits.
