Southeastern States Air Resource Managers,
Inc., commonly known as SESARM, is a Georgia corporation organized
and operated under the provisions of the Official Code of Georgia
Annotated, Title 14, Chapter 3, also known as the Georgia Nonprofit
Corporation Code. SESARM qualifies as a charitable, tax-exempt
corporation as provided in the United States Code, Title 26, Subtitle
A, Chapter 1, Subchapter F, Part 1, Section 501(c)(3).
SESARM does
not engage in for-profit activities nor does it use federal funds
to influence legislation. SESARM was incorporated February 24,
1997.
Its tax-exempt status was most recently
re-confirmed in correspondence from the United States Internal
Revenue Service
dated December
12, 2001.
The Board of Directors of SESARM consists of a representative
of the air pollution control program in each
of the eight southeastern states.
