Metro 4 Announces New Chattanooga-Hamilton County, TN APCB Director 

January 15, 2021. Ronald C. Drumeller was recently appointed as the new Executive Director of Chattanooga-Hamilton County, Tennessee's Air Pollution Control Bureau. His tenure with the Bureau began on January 4. The previous Executive Director, Bob Colby, served the Bureau for 30 years and is retiring, but will continue in an advisory capacity for much of 2021.

Ron comes to the local air agency after a nearly 30-year career of air, energy, and other environmental work for major auto manufacturing companies in Alabama and Tennessee, environmental consulting firms, and the private sector. He has an Associate Degree in Environmental Sciences and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering.  Ron and his wife, Marlene, have been married 20 years and have two teenage daughters.  The family enjoys exercising and staying fit together.

The Metro 4/SESARM family welcomes Ron to this position and wishes him much success as he leads the continuing work of the Chattanooga-Hamilton County agency.

 

 

VISTAS Regional Haze Technical Work Concludes

Please contact Scott Hodges at shodges@metro4-sesarm.org if you need information not provided on this website.

States are now developing their regional haze implementation plans (SIPs).  The EPA deadline for submittal of regional haze SIPs is July 31, 2021. A public comment period will be provided by each state in advance of completion and submission of their respective regional haze SIP.
