2023 Region 4 Air Monitoring Workshop

This is the Region 4 Air Monitoring Workshop.  EPA Region 4 will be meeting with the local, state and tribal air monitoring contacts in the Southeast. It is scheduled from 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2023 through 12:00 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2023.

LOCATION: 

• The Read House Hotel, 107 W. MLK Blvd., Chattanooga, TN 37402.

• Air Monitoring Workshop will be held in the Centennial Room and Vendors will be available in the Crutchfield Room.

RESERVATIONS FOR OVERNIGHT LODGING:

• Hotel reservation deadline:  Friday, February 24, 2023.
• Rooms are being held under the "METRO23" room block for the nights of March 27-29 with check-out on March 30.
• Workshop attendees may reserve your room by clicking this link  The Read House Hotel Attendee Booking Link or call the hotel at 423-266-4121 and ask for the “2023 Air Monitoring Workshop Main Block.
• The nightly sleeping room rate will be $109.00 plus tax per night (GSA rate) for State and Federal Agency staff and $139-159 plus tax per night for non-agency attendees. 

REGISTER ON THIS WEB SITE:

• Requested registration deadline:  Friday, March 10, 2023.
• Log into the Metro 4/SESARM website: metro4-sesarm.org. If this is your first visit to the website, you will need to create a new profile before you can log in and register.  You will see an announcement for the “Region 4 Air Monitoring Workshop” in the top banner.
• Click on "Begin Registration" at the bottom of this announcement. In the drop-down box for "This registration is for," click "Myself." Click on "Save Registration." This should complete your registration.
• Registration Fee: There is a registration fee of $210.00 per attendee to cover all necessary meeting supporting costs.   Please pay this registration fee on-line by following the prompts and pay from the shopping cart.  If necessary to pay by check, please make checks payable to “SESARM” and mailed to:  Metro 4/SESARM at 3122 Mahan Drive, Suite 801-287, Tallahassee, FL  32308.  You may bring your payment to the workshop.
•  After successfully completing your registration, you will see a confirmation on the screen. You will also receive an e-mail confirmation that your meeting registration is complete. 
• Note:  EPA encourages in-person participation in the air monitoring workshop to build relationships with EPA and other agencies and be able to visit with the exhibitors.  But knowing in-person attendance is not possible for all, a virtual option is being planned.  A link for this virtual connection will be sent separate from this email. Virtual attendees to DO NOT need to complete the website registration or pay the registration fee.

A draft agenda is attached.  The final agenda will be posted when available.  Below is the general schedule:

• 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 28 through 5:00 p.m. March 28 – Day 1 Region 4 Air Monitoring Workshop.
• 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 29 through 5:00 p.m. March 29 – Day 2 Region 4 Air Monitoring Workshop. 
• 8:00 a.m. Thursday, March 30 through 12:00 p.m. March 30 – Day 3 Region 4 Air Monitoring Workshop.

 

GROUND TRANSPORTATION:

• The hotel does not provide an airport shuttle service.
• The airport-hotel taxi fare is approximately $20 -25.
• Hotel offers Valet parking at $12 for the day and $22 for overnight. (Prices are per car; per day plus tax (9.25%).

 

MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION:

• Snacks and refreshments will be served throughout the meeting.  All meals are on your own.
• Suggested attire is business casual.
