2026 Region 4 Air Monitoring Workshop

This is the Region 4 Air Monitoring Workshop.  EPA Region 4 will be meeting with the local, state and tribal air monitoring contacts in the Southeast. It is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2026 through 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2026. Only those attending in person are required to register.  Details and registration information is as follows: 

LOCATION: 

  • Courtyard Atlanta Decatur Downtown Emory, 130 Clairemont Ave, Decatur, GA 30030.
  • The Air Monitoring Workshop will be held in the Decatur Room A. 
  • Vendors Exhibits will be held in the Henry Oliver Room.

 

RESERVATIONS FOR OVERNIGHT LODGING:

  • Hotel reservation deadline:  Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
  • Rooms for State, Local, and Tribal attendees under group code ”___” for the nights of May 5-7.
  • The nightly sleeping room rate will be $179.00 plus tax per night for State, Local and Tribal agency staff.

REGISTER ON THIS WEB SITE:

  • Requested registration deadline: Wednesday, April 22, 2026.
  • Log into the Metro 4/SESARM website: metro4-sesarm.org. If this is your first visit to the website, you will need to create a new profile before you can log in and register.  You will see an announcement for the “2026 Region 4 Air Monitoring Workshop” in the top banner.
  • Click on "Begin Registration" at the bottom of this announcement. In the drop-down box for "This registration is for," click "Myself." Click on "Save Registration." This should complete your registration.
  •  After successfully completing your registration, you will see a confirmation on the screen. You will also receive an e-mail confirmation that your meeting registration is complete. 
  • Registration Fee: There is no registration fee for the staff of EPA or Metro 4/SESARM member agencies. For any attendees who are not staff of EPA or Metro 4/SESARM member agencies, please register using the vendor registration page.
  • EPA encourages in-person participation in the air monitoring workshop to build relationships with EPA and other agencies and be able to visit with the exhibitors.  But knowing in-person attendance is not possible for all, a virtual option is being planned.  A link for this virtual connection will be sent separate from this email. Virtual attendees DO NOT need to complete the website registration.

AGENDA:

A draft agenda will be posted when available.  Below is the general schedule:

  • 9:00a.m. - 12:00a.m. Tuesday, May 5 – Potential Monitor Training (based on interest)
  • 1:00p.m. – 5:00p.m. Tuesday, May 5 – Day 1 Region 4 Air Monitoring Workshop with Exhibition viewing from 1:00p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • 9:00 a.m.- 5:00p.m. Wednesday, May 6 – Day 2 Region 4 Air Monitoring Workshop with Exhibition viewing all day.
  • 9:00 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. Thursday, May 7 – Day 3 Region 4 Air Monitoring Workshop (State, Local, Tribal & EPA attendees only).

 

GROUND TRANSPORTATION:

  • The hotel does not provide an airport shuttle service.
  • The Decatur MARTA station is 0.2 miles from the hotel. 
  • Overnight Self-Parking is $12 per night per vehicle.
  • Daily Event Self-Parking is $12 Per Day.

 

 MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION:

  • Snacks and refreshments will be served throughout the meeting.  All meals are on your own.
  • Suggested attire is business casual.
  • Fee Wi-Fi will be available in meeting rooms and sleeping rooms.
