2026 Region 4 Air Permitting Workshop

EPA Region 4 staff will be meeting with Southeastern lcoal, state and tribal air permitting contacts.  The meeting is scheduled from 1:00p.m. ET Tuesday, July 21 through 1:00 p.m. ET Thursday, July 23, 2026.

We encourage in-person participation in the Region 4 Air Permitting workshop to build relationships with EPA and other agencies across the region.  But knowing in-person attendance is not possible for all, a virtual option will be available.  The link for the virtual meeting is contained in the meeting agenda.  Virtual attendees DO NOT need to complete the website registration. 

LOCATION: 

  • The Courtyard Atlanta Decatur Downtown/Emory, 130 Clairemont Avenue, Decatur, GA 30030.
  • The Air Permitting Workshop sessions will be held in the Decatur Room A.

RESERVATIONS FOR OVERNIGHT LODGING:

  • Hotel reservation deadline:  Tuesday, July 14, 2026
  • Rooms are being held under group code "___________" for the nights of July 21-22 with checkout on July 23.
  • The nightly sleeping room rate will be $179.00 plus tax per night for State, Local and Tribal agency staff.

REGISTER ON THIS WEB SITE:

  • Requested registration deadline:  Wednesday, July 15, 2024
  • Log into the Metro 4/SESARM website: metro4-sesarm.org. If this is your first visit to the website, you will need to create a new profile before you can log in and register.  You will see an announcement for the “2026 Region 4 Air Permitting Workshop” on the top banner.
  • Click on "Begin Registration" at the bottom of the registration page. In the drop-down box for "This registration is for," click "Myself." Click on "Save Registration." This should complete your registration.
  • There is no registration fee for attendees.  
  • After successfully completing your registration, you will see a confirmation on the screen. You will also receive an e-mail confirmation that your meeting registration is complete.
  • Registration Fee: There is no registration fee for the staff of EPA, or state, local or tribal agencies.

AGENDA:

A draft agenda is being developed and will be posted to this page when available.  Below is the general schedule:

  • 1:00 p.m. through 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 21 – Day 1 - Air Permitting Workshop.
  • 8:30 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 22 - Day 2 - Air Permitting Workshop. 
  • 8:30 a.m. through 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 23 – Day 3 - Air Permitting Workshop.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION:

  • The hotel does not have an airport shuttle.
  • The Decatur MARTA station is 0.2 miles from the hotel.
  • Overnight Self Parking is $15 Per Night Per vehicle.
  • Daily Event Self Parking is $15 Per day and Daily Event Valet Parking is $25

MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION:

  • Snacks and refreshments will be served throughout the meeting.  All meals are on your own.
  • Suggested attire is business casual.
  • Free Wi-Fi will be available in the meeting space and guest rooms.
